Your projects stay on your Mac

Last updated October 29, 2026

SolarSolution Studio has no account, no advertising and no tracking. This page explains, in plain terms, what the app and this website do with information.

In short

  • There is no account, no advertising and no tracking in the app.

  • Projects, reports and calculations are stored and run on your Mac. We never receive them.

  • To find a site, fetch its weather and show aerial imagery, the app asks a few public services directly. They receive a search text or a site’s coordinates, never your projects.

  • This website counts visits anonymously and sets no cookies.

Who we are

SolarSolution Studio (“the app”) and this website are made by Oleksandr Demydov, who is responsible for this policy. Write to support@solar-solution.app with any question about privacy.

What stays on your Mac

Projects, designs, variants, PDF reports, weather files and photos you import, and the app’s settings are stored locally, inside the app’s own storage or in files you choose. The app does not upload them anywhere. They remain yours, and removing the app or the files removes them.

What the app sends to outside services

The app has no server of its own. It sends a request to the services below only when you use the feature that needs it, and only what that feature needs. As with any request over the internet, each service also sees your IP address. Each service handles its requests under its own privacy policy.

  • Photon — the text you type into address search, or the coordinates of a point you place or move on the map, to find the place and its address. Operated by komoot, based on OpenStreetMap data. photon.komoot.io

  • Apple — the map you see while choosing a site, and the site’s coordinates to look up its time zone. Apple Maps, under the Apple Privacy Policy.

  • PVGIS — the site’s coordinates, to download a typical weather year for it. European Commission, Joint Research Centre. re.jrc.ec.europa.eu

  • NASA POWER — the site’s coordinates, only when PVGIS has no weather for the site. NASA Langley Research Center. power.larc.nasa.gov

  • USGS — for a site in the contiguous United States, the area around it, to download USDA NAIP aerial imagery. U.S. Geological Survey, The National Map. usgs.gov

The app’s help also links to weather-data websites. Those open in your browser, and those websites’ own policies apply.

Crash reports and App Store statistics

If you have chosen in macOS settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may pass on crash reports and usage statistics for the app. These come from Apple without your name or contact details. We use them only to fix problems and to see how many people use the app. You can turn this off in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

When you write to us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, such as a description of a problem or a project file you choose to attach. We use it only to answer you and to fix the problem, we do not add you to any list, and we delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed or when you ask.

This website

solar-solution.app is built and hosted with Framer, by Framer B.V., Rozengracht 207B, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, which hosts it on our behalf. When you open a page, Framer’s servers receive what any web server receives — your IP address, your browser and the page you asked for — to deliver the page and keep the service secure.

To see how many people visit and which pages they read, the site uses Framer’s built-in analytics. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device: addresses are hashed with a key that is replaced every day, so we see only anonymous counts. There is no advertising and no contact form, and no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

The site’s domain name is served by Cloudflare. Its fonts come from Google Fonts: when a page loads, your browser fetches them from Google’s servers, which see your IP address. Google Privacy Policy

Children

The app is a planning tool for adults. It collects no personal data from anyone, children included.

Your rights

Because we hold no data from the app, there is nothing of yours for us to show, correct or delete, beyond any email you have sent us. You can ask about it, or ask us to delete it, at support@solar-solution.app. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If what the app sends, or to whom, ever changes — or this website starts loading anything from another service — this page will be updated first, and the date at the top will change.
